Familie Komedie Filmbewerking van de wereldberoemde Andrew Lloyd Webber-musical. Op de meest speciale avond van het jaar, waarop de 'Jellicle'-katten hun grote bal vieren, zal een van hen door Old Deuteronomy worden uitverkoren om opnieuw te worden geboren. De teruggekeerde kat Grizabella keert ook deze avond terug maar niemand moet wat van haar weten. De avond wordt verstoord wanneer Old Deuteronomy wordt ontvoerd en de katten hun krachten moeten zien te bundelen.
