Horror
Na de dood van haar tante erven Pauline en haar dochters een huis. Vlak na de verhuis dringen moordenaars het huis binnen en moet Pauline vechten om haar dochters te redden. Een drama dat het hele gezin traumatiseert. De oudste, Beth, verhuist naar LA, sticht een gezin en oogst succes als horrorschrijfster. Vera daarentegen krijgt de gebeurtenissen niet verwerkt en raakt verstrikt in een vernietigende paranoia. Zestien jaar later wordt het gezin weer herenigd in het huis en dan gebeuren er vreemde dingen.

Ghostland, besloten om deze film te gaan bekijken zonder verder verwachtingen te hebben. Vanaf het begin werd ik toch in het verhaal meegenomen. Goede opgezette verhaallijn waarbij je wel goed bij de les moet blijven. Vind deze film meer passen in het genre thriller/drama. Horror echter was wat ver te zoeken hoewel de poppen en het oude huis je wel de kriebels gaven. Paar lekkere schrikmomenten. De film is ook realistisch van opzet en zou dus gerust werkelijkheid kunnen zijn, gezien wat er allemaal gebeurt in de wereld! Film is zeker een aanrader wat mij aan betreft.
